Vanessa’s love of horses began when she was seven years old. She took lessons in Connecticut through high school, after which she moved to Germany to continue training in both jumper and dressage disciplines.
Vanessa received her degree from the University of Massachusetts in 2001 and that September began her 4 years work experience with Olympians David & Karen O’Conner.
In 2004 Vanessa moved back to the east coast and became General Manager/Instructor for a barn in Connecticut before joining Boulder Brook Equestrian Center in 2006.
Together, Audrey and Vanessa have developed a training program that has produced national, regional & zone champions. Vanessa remains dedicated to giving her utmost to the Boulder Brook students and their horses.
Dina has been an instructor at Boulder Brook for 5 years. She has many years of experience training and caring for horses - ranging from working at both Yonkers and Aqueduct racetracks, to serving as VP of an equine rescue where she was responsible for the care of over 40 horses. She has been riding since she was a child, and teaching lessons since she was 18 years old.
Dina teaches private and group lessons to riders of all levels, and is a coach of the Boulder Brook IEA teams.
Courtney started off her riding career at Fox Hill Farms in Pleasantville, New York. She eventually began working the barn, and progressed to teaching lessons by the time she finished high school.
Her passion for horses took her to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she earned her BA in Biology. She was an active member of the equestrian team, under the guidance of coach Cindy Ford, for all four undergraduate years. She qualified and competed at IHSA Regional, Zone, and National Finals, both as an individual and as a team rider.
After college, Courtney worked at the Riverdale Stables in the Bronx, where she fulfilled the roles of both trainer and assistant barn manager. During that time she also expanded her scientific knowledge, working under contract for Wildlife Conservation Society and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a seasonal biologist and bird bander.
Courtney joined the Boulder Brook team in July of 2013 as the office manager. She teaches lessons on Sundays during the year, and enjoys spending as much time around the horses as possible!
Sarah has ridden since the age of 4. At age 13 she became a working student, assisting with beginner riding lessons and helping to run summer riding camps. She went on to ride for Mark Stopford in Ocala, Florida, and was responsible for the care of his 20+ sale horses. She has shown her own horse, Arie, up through the low adult jumpers, and has worked for several other noteworthy professionals including Olympian Darren Chiacchia. Sarah has been an instructor at Boulder Brook for over 5 years. She teaches child and adult lessons on weekdays and Saturdays, and is a coach of the Boulder Brook IEA Teams.
